Peer Review Process

Article Evaluation Guidelines of The biannual journal "Research in Narrative Interpretation of the Quran"

1- Initial evaluation of submitted articles by the editor / editorial board secretary / journal internal manager (approximately two weeks)

  • Lacking qualification due to not meeting the journal's priority, incompatibility with the journal's subject, or failure to adhere to the journal's writing guidelines: rejected
  • Initial qualification approval for evaluation submission:

Note: It is essential to send the following two files along with the main article file:

1- "Commitment" form of the authors

2- "Conflict of Interest" form of the authors

The commitment and conflict of interest forms must be printed, completed, and signed, and then the photo or pdf file should be submitted only through the system. The naming criteria for authors are based on the names registered in the commitment form.

2- Second evaluation by two referees (maximum 45 days)

  • Content of the article not approved: rejected
  • Suggestions for minor improvements to the article content: sent to the author
  • Suggestions for major changes to the article structure: sent to the third referee
  • Content and structure not approved: rejected
  • Suggestions for minor improvements to the structure: sent to the author

3- Compliance with revisions in the article by the editorial board secretary / journal internal manager (approximately two weeks)

  • Revisions not made (major and minor): rejected
  • All revisions made: sent to the editorial board for decision making

4- Third evaluation by the members of the journal's editorial board (approximately one month)

  • Acceptance and prioritization: approval and sending of acceptance letter
  • Rejection and non-prioritization: rejected
