Abstract
This survey is done to demonstrate the definition of distortion of Torah as dealt with in Quran. Distortion literally means to get away from the origin, not to go through changes or conversion in mere utterances. Scientists of Quranic sciences, according to the literally definition of distortion and its uses in Quran, define distortion as any changes in the utterance or meaning that does not match to Quran’s text. But the definition of distortion in Quran concerning Torah is about concealing the truth and disobeying divine rules and has nothing to do with changing in words and utterances. By examining the verses of Quran, the chosen view in this survey is that the Quranic term ‘Distortion’ concerning Torah, has the concept of ‘concealment based on meta-context’.
