Abstract

Addressing doubts concerning Islamic issues has a long-standing history, extending from the early days of Islam to the present. Satan himself can be regarded as the first doubter, as he instilled doubts regarding obedience and its incompatibility with divine command, specifically concerning prostration, and employed the first misleading analogy. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) presented various arguments from Almighty God against those who doubted the Quranic verses, with some examples noted herein. In the present era, identifying the doubters most of whom are Orientalists is of great importance, given the significance of their motivations. Based on their methods of operation, the process of identifying and responding to doubts has developed a unique character, resulting in the categorization of doubts and the specification of their types. Due to its sensitivity, this issue has become a specialized process requiring skilled and knowledgeable individuals in the field. This article employs a descriptive-analytical method to examine past approaches, introducing the doubters, their motivations, and the Quran's responses, along with examples of the doubts raised. It appears that Orientalists have primarily sought to highlight the negative aspects of the Islamic heritage.
